CHRISTIAN FINE ART GALLERY > THE GOSPEL SERIES > I. For All Have Sinned (Romans 3:23)

ONFS, Acrylic Painting on Paper

God created each one of us to be in a loving, personal relationship with him. Sadly, however, we have all sinned against God and have thus been separated from him. The rest of the gospel “good news” is that God didn’t leave it that way. He lovingly made the way for us to be reconciled back to him.

Artist’s Reflection:

“…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…” (Romans 3:23)

All people were created to be in a close, personal relationship with God. God earnestly desires this with each one of us. Unfortunately, this relationship is severed because of the sins we commit.

“The LORD saw how great man’s wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time. The LORD was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain” (Genesis 6:5-6).

“The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?” (Jeremiah 17:9)

Even one sin is enough to eternally separate us from God, who is perfect in holiness. “For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it” (James 2:10).

[Jesus said] “I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God…that is why I was sent.” (Luke 4:43)
