“…Jesus went…proclaiming the good news of God. ‘The time has come,’ he said, ‘The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!'” (Mark 1:14-15)

The word “Gospel” means “good news”.

God created mankind to be in a close, loving, personal relationship with him. Sadly, our sins have eternally separated us. Because God loves us and still desires that personal relationship with each one of us, he has provided the way for us to be reconciled to him. That way is through repentance (turning from sin) and placing our faith in Jesus Christ, who died in our place, taking the punishment for our sin. We can be fully reconciled to God through faith in Jesus and enjoy an eternity with him just by believing the “good news” of the gospel.

This series of paintings details the gospel message, the way of reconciliation with God and entrance into heaven.

[Jesus said] “I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God…that is why I was sent.” (Luke 4:43)
