The Holy Spirit is the one who inspires and empowers musicians and singers to worship lead. The hands of Jesus are ‘ghosted’ over the musicians’ hands to signify the empowerment of the Holy Spirit as they play.

 Artist’s Reflection:

“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.” (John 4:23-24)

The hands of Jesus are visible over the hands of these worshiping musicians, signifying the anointing of the Holy Spirit upon them to worship and worship lead.

“But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them–yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.” (1 Corinthians 15:10)

God has not only given us every ability, talent and gift we have, but he also gives us the self-discipline to advance in it. John the Baptist speaks of this concerning his own ministry, “A man can receive only what is given him from heaven” (John 3:27). All the glory rightfully belongs to God from beginning to end. Knowing this is a secret of humility. It leaves no room for pride and self-glorification. Jesus’ hands over these worshipers’ hands also symbolize the ability and empowerment God has given each of them as they play.
