Being a Communist, I believed that every thing can be achieved by the might of human hands. I did not believe in any god or goddesses and the idea of a supernatural being was really a myth to me. I hated the servants of God who preached to me about the living Savior, and I considered them as crazy. I blindly followed the teachings of Communism and did everything according to the instructions of my leaders.
As days passed, I was addicted to alcohol and gradually started looting. Though I was living a wicked life, deep down in my heart I heard a tiny voice speaking to me “there is a living God.” Yet I was unable to find out who He was? The Lord in His mercy prepared a way for me to know Him when my son was afflicted by the powers of darkness. When my son became sick, I was helpless and sought the help of many godly men. When some believers prayed for my son, he was delivered from the affliction. My eyes were opened and I believed in Jesus that He is able to forgive the sinners and heal the sick. I confessed my iniquities to the Lord and accepted Jesus as my personal Savior.
In the following days, peace and joy filled my heart and I became a new creation in Christ. I decided not to live anymore after the passions of the world, but to work for the expansion of the heavenly kingdom. The voice of the Lord came to me through His servants, moreover He spoke to me from the Gospel of Matthew 6:24,34 “No man can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon [money]. Take therefore no thought for the morrow; for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”
Thus I realized the Lord’s call and joined a Bible school to be trained for the glorious work of the Lord Jesus. In order to make the unreached millions as the disciples of Christ, I serve the Lord as an evangelist among the Hindus in India.
