One day my father came home as a new man with a beaming face. As we watched him in disbelief how he narrated how he accepted the Lord on his way to work. Apart from my mother, the rest of us hated him for his faith in Jesus. Before long my parents went to be with the Lord I was left restless and troubled. Yet I did not turn to the Lord.
The turning point in my life came when I was 24 years old. Fortunately I met with a pastor who came to our village to conduct a gospel meeting. The Spirit of God urged me to attend the gospel meeting. Unwillingly I went to the meeting but it was there I first had an unforgettable encounter with God. Pierced by the living Word [the Bible], I acknowledged the Lordship of Jesus in my life and confessed my sins to Him. Before long I was baptized in water.
Heavenly peace and happiness filled my heart and I became a totally changed person. I enjoyed fellowshipping with the believers in the local church. One day while I was spending time in fasting and prayer, the Lord called me to serve in His vineyard. I then joyfully gave up my life for the Lord’s service and soon enrolled in a theological institution to study the Word profoundly.
