Maria Island National Park and The East – TASMANIA

Maria Island National Park and its marine reserve are a treasure of natural beauty and abundant wildlife. Some of its highlights include the Painted Cliffs with their artistically coloured sandstone patterns, the Fossil Cliffs and Bishop and Clerk. Maria Island is an important sanctuary for a disease-free population of endangered Tasmanian Devils, which are at risk of extinction from Devil Facial Tumour Disease (DFTD).
