Mt. Field National Park – TASMANIA

Mt. Field, Tasmania’s first national park, is home to Russell Falls (60m (190′)) and the Eucalyptus Regnans, some of the tallest trees in the world. In autumn, the turning of Tasmania’s only native deciduous tree, fagus (nothofagus gunnii), takes centre stage. Lake Dobson features fascinating plants endemic to Tasmania while the alpine regions offer spectacular views of Tasmania’s rugged Southwest World Heritage Area.
