Black eyed susans (Rudbeckia hirta) are one of the most common wildflowers in North America and can be found in all of the contiguous 48 states and every province in Canada. They are native to prairies in Minnesota. These black eyed susans were just a few in an entire meadow exploding in bloom in a prairie restoration project in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
