Water patterns fascinate me, and I love to capture their artistry on camera.

This water pattern was taken from the St. Louis River in Jay Cooke State Park in Minnesota’s northeast. Jay Cooke State Park is one of Minnesota’s most popular parks, particularly because of its beautiful 13 mile (21 km) rocky gorge and swinging bridge. The St. Louis River rushes through the jagged slate, creating beautiful rapids and white water. The St. Louis River is a root beer brown color from the tannin coming from pine trees.
