Everyone who calls upon Jesus to save them from their sins and who believes that he has died to pay the punishment for their sins will be saved from death and hell and will enter into a loving, personal relationship with God that will last throughout eternity.
Artist’s Reflection:
“…for, ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:13)
God earnestly desires all people to be reconciled to himself (2 Peter 3:9, 1 Timothy 2:3-6).
God gives his free gift of forgiveness, reconciliation and eternal life to all people who will repent (turn away from their sins) and place their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior (believing he has paid the full punishment for their sins through his death on the cross). God does not refuse or reject anyone who asks him for forgiveness and who comes to him for salvation.
Jesus says, “…whoever comes to me, I will never drive away…For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son [Jesus] and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day” (John 6:37, 40).
