The Gospel Series VIEW ALL

This series is the most important of all in terms of its message. It also contains the most extensive, intensive and elaborate artwork I’ve ever done. Featuring Celtic knotwork and calligraphy, I’ve illustrated several paintings of Bible verses that depict the gospel, God’s loving plan of redemption for mankind. I’ve used iridescent gold paint to make this work reminiscent of illuminated manuscripts.

John 3:16, For God So Loved the World Series VIEW ALL

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). God loves us so much that he sent his Son, Jesus, to pay the penalty for our sins through his death on the cross. When we repent (turn away) from our sins and trust in Jesus that he has saved and ransomed us from them, we are brought into a personal relationship with God, forgiven of our sins, saved from hell and graciously granted the free gift of eternal life. No other verse in the Bible has been translated into more world languages than John 3:16. This painting depicts this loving truth of John 3:16 and tells of it in 8 major world languages.

Signs of the Times Series VIEW ALL

While Jesus said that no one knows the exact day or hour of his Second Coming (Matthew 24:36), he did warn us that we would be able to recognize its season (Matthew 24:32-35). As we see a number of the Biblical prophecies about the End Times being fulfilled and nearing fulfillment, we would be wise to get ready for his return. It will be a time of wrath and judgment for many and a time of mercy and salvation for others. The purpose of this series is to warn people about the nearness of the End Times and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ and to explain what we need to do in order to make sure that we will receive mercy and not wrath on the day of his return.

John the Baptist Artworks Series VIEW ALL

True Christianity, as Jesus taught it, is abiding in a loving, personal relationship with God through faith in him and his atoning sacrifice on the cross. Sadly, much of Christendom today (and throughout the ages) has exchanged this for various forms of ‘christian’ religiosity which are partially or completely devoid of any genuine connection with the Living God (Mark 7:6-8). Even within evangelical circles, the practice of “churchianity” is often deceptively and falsely equated with having a relationship with God. Religion often subtly supplants Relationship. This series is aimed at discerning and exposing the counterfeits that we may flee from them and embrace the genuine–Jesus Christ himself. “So then, just as you received Jesus Christ as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.” (Colossians 2:6-7)

Praise and Worship Series VIEW ALL

Experiencing and knowing God moves us to praise and worship him! To know God is to love him, and when we love him we cannot help but worship him. It was for this very purpose that we were created. It is where we find our life, and it is the only place we ever find true fulfillment and contentment. This series reveals various facets of praise and worship, part of the central core of our relationship with God.

Spiritual Warfare, Victory, Freedom, Healing Series VIEW ALL

In a fallen world, none of us can escape the bitter effects of sin. Jesus came to redeem us from our sins, to restore us from the damage it has done in our lives and to destroy the works of the one who initially instigated mankind’s fall into sin. Spiritual warfare, victory, freedom and healing are all a part of the Christian experience. This artwork bears testimony to God’s mighty deliverance and healing power in my own life, transforming me from a slave of sin into a soldier in the advancing army of God. All glory be to him!

The Lion of Judah Series VIEW ALL

Jesus is “The Lion of the Tribe of Judah” (Revelation 5:5). Among other things, this title speaks of Jesus’ sovereignty, majesty, power and strength–for he is the King of Kings! (Revelation 19:16). The artwork in this series comes out of my personal experiences with the powerful Lion of Judah working in my life. It also reflects on different aspects of Jesus as the Lion of Judah. C.S. Lewis drew on this Biblical imagery for the character of Aslan (the Savior of Narnia), a fantastical version of Christ, in his series “The Chronicles of Narnia”.

These drawings were featured on the covers of Geoff Waugh’s Lion of Judah series of books. The books describe the titles, reign, life, death, resurrection and Spirit of Jesus. Please see The Renewal Journal website for more information on the books:

The Word of God Series VIEW ALL

God’s Word (the Bible) is alive and full of power (John 6:63, Hebrews 4:12-13)! It is truth (John 17:17), and it cannot be broken (John 10:35)! This series was an attempt to visually describe both the inherent power of God’s Word and its power working in my own life.

Events of the Bible Series VIEW ALL

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17). The Bible contains invaluable stories to teach us. This series documents some of its treasures.

Bible Verses Series VIEW ALL

This series is a combination of my love for the Word of God (the Bible) and a love for God’s Creation. These are photos I have taken of the wilderness (primarily the Tasmanian wilderness and the American wilderness), and I have put a Bible verse on them. They are designed to lead the viewer into thanks and praise as well as meditation upon the Word of God. I can also put different (public domain) Bible verses on these photographs for those who would like to do so.

Secular Series VIEW ALL

This series includes a small handful of some of the secular work I have done over the years including: still life studies at University, abstraction, landscapes, flowers, animals and sculpture.
